The South Australian Dairyfarmers' Association is a member of Australian Dairy Farmers Limited (ADF). Australian Dairy Farmers is the national policy and advocacy body providing collective representation for dairy farmers in Australia.
Policy Advisory Groups (PAGs) established by ADF play a key role in setting advocacy objectives and driving policy formulation. SADA has members on each of the PAGs which cover the areas of:

- Economics and Trade - Tracey Cowie
SADA is a founding member of Primary Producers SA. Primary Producers SA (PPSA) is a coalition of peak bodies representing primary producers in South Australia.
The purpose of PPSA is:
- To vigorously represent the interests and concerns of primary producers to government and the community;
- To present one voice to government and the wider community on cross-commodity issues affecting primary producers in South Australia;
- To promote the importance of primary production in South Australia and ensure that the contributions and achievements of primary producers are acknowledged and appreciated; and
- To work with and assist stakeholders and suppliers to primary production where such assistance will ultimately benefit primary producers
Through both ADF and PPSA, SADA has direct engagement with the National Farmers Federation (NFF) which is the peak national body representing farmers and agriculture across Australia.
ADF (Australian Dairy Farmers)
Australian Dairy Farmers (ADF) is the national advocacy body representing dairy farmers across the six dairying states. Our mission is to improve the profitability and sustainability of dairy farmers in Australia.
Animal Health Australia
Animal Health Australia works in partnership with our Members and other stakeholders to keep Australia free of new and emerging diseases and to improve animal health. We enhance market access and foster resilience and integrity of the Australian animal health system.
Australian Dairy Herd Improvement Service
The dairy industry's independent genetic evaluation service. Its aim is to assist Australian dairy farmers to improve the quality and profitability of their herds through improved genetic selection.
ADIC (Australian Dairy Industry Council)
The ADIC is the peak national representative body of the Australian dairy industry. Representing the interests of Australian dairy’s whole value chain through its two constituent bodies, Australian Dairy Farmers (ADF) and the ADPF, the partnership is a unique to Australian agriculture and provides a strong, unified approach to industry and government advocacy.
ADPF (Australian Dairy Products Federation Inc)
ADPF is the peak policy body for commercial/non-farm members of the Australian dairy industry and is open to entities operating in Australia that are engaged in the manufacture, marketing or trading of dairy products and/or dairy related products.
DIAA (Dairy Industry Association of Australia
The Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) is a not-for-profit industry association for dairy product manufacturers and allied trades. The DIAA's mission is to promote excellence in the Australian dairy industry by providing a forum for communication, continuing education, professional growth, recognition and fellowship for all members, sectors and participant organisations involved with the dairy industry.
DairySA links the SA dairy community with up-to-date practical information, innovative programs and the latest research. We focus on delivering regionally-relevant, practical activities and information to support farm profitability and sustainability. DairySA is an example of the dairy service levy at work, locally. It is one of eight Regional Development Programs (RDPs) funded by Dairy Australia and the dairy service levy.
Dairy Australia is the national services body for dairy farmers and the industry. Our role is to help farmers adapt to a changing operating environment, and achieve a profitable, sustainable dairy industry.
NFF (National Farmers Federation)
The NFF is the peak national body representing farmers and, more broadly, agriculture across Australia. It is one of Australia’s foremost and respected advocacy organisations.
DASA (Dairy Authority of South Australia)
The Dairy Authority of South Australia (The Authority) is an independent statutory authority fully financed by the dairy industry. The role of The Authority is to ensure that dairy products produced in South Australia are safe for consumers by ensuring that Australian food safety standards (the FSANZ standards) are complied with at each point in the production process.
VFF (Victorian Farmers Federation)
The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) is the largest state farmer organisation in Australia, representing over 10,000 members who live and work on more than 6,000 farm businesses situated across Victoria. The VFF is an active, powerful lobby group dedicated to the interests of farmers and making a difference to communities.
UDV (United Dairy Farmers of Victoria)
The United Dairyfarmers of Victoria (UDV) is the collective voice of Victorian dairy farmers, representing its members to governments and industry at state and local levels.

QDO (Queensland Dairyfarmers Organisation)
Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation is the peak advocacy organisation representing the interests of and providing services to dairy farmers across Queensland.
SafeWork SA is responsible for providing work health and safety, public safety and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia.

MERS can provide information regarding employment and industrial relations requirements as well as mediation services.
Rural Business Support
Providing services and independent support to the primary industry sector to enable them to manage change, risk and business challenges for the benefit of the public. Their Rural Financial Counselling Service provides business support and information to eligible clients experiencing financial difficulties.
PIRSA (Primary Industries and Regions SA)
PIRSA is a key economic development agency in the government of South Australia, with responsibility for the prosperity of the state’s industries and regions.
Rural Solutions SA
Rural Solutions SA is PIRSA’S key delivery agent for major programs and projects across South Australia, and provides consultancy services to private and public sector organisations locally, nationally and internationally.
SARDI (South Australian Research and Development Institute)
The South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) provides research and development services to the state government, commercial clients and research partners to help make South Australia’s primary industries and regions internationally competitive and ecologically sustainable.
