SA Dairy Action Plan
Is the roadmap to the future.
The South Australian Dairyfarmers’ Association (SADA) announces its pride in the launch of the South Australian Dairy Industry Action Plan 2024-2029. The plan is designed to set the pathway for the SA dairy industry for the next 5 years.
The plan builds on the earlier 2019-2024 plan which achieved its goal of bringing the SA dairy industry into alignment with industry participants, regulators and government. The earlier plan succeeded in creating communications and pathways across industry that led to a clear ambition, shared by all in the industry, for an industry with a predominant orientation toward a premium South Australian product.
Industry Funds
The SA Dairy Industry Fund and the Cattle Industry Fund (Dairy) have each been established to support and enhance the dairy sector within South Australia. The SA Dairy Industry Fund focuses on financing innovative projects and activities that benefit the dairy industry and its communities, aiming to boost productivity, sustainability, and welfare. The Cattle Industry Fund (Dairy), is administered by the Minister for Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA), supports the cattle industry through strategic investments as per the Primary Industry Funding Schemes regulations. Both funds are crucial in supporting the growth and development of the dairy and cattle industries in South Australia.
SA Dairy Internship Program
Is actively welcoming undergraduate project interns, interested graduates and casual employees to work across the industry supply chain with SADA, DairySA and Dairy SAFE, at the coal face of dairy and in the many service industries which support it.
BJD Management
SADA manages the SA JD Dairy Score program, which it inherited from PIRSA in 2023. Certificates and risk ratings already applied in many cases for over 15 years will be maintained in cooperation with private Veterinary practitioners.
